Gaddafi Stadium Lahore




Gaddafi Stadium (Urduقذافی اسٹیڈیم) is a cricket ground in Lahore. It was designed by famous architect and engineer Nasrudin Murat khan, and constructed by Mian Abdul Khaliq and Company in 1959. The stadium was renovated for the 1996 Cricket World cup when it hosted the Final. The headquarters of the Pakistan Cricket board are situated at Gaddafi Stadium making it the home of Pakistan cricket team. The stadium has a capacity of 27,000 spectators making it one of the biggest in the country.

Gaddafi Stadium was named after Libyan leader and it’s world’s 5th largest cricket stadium. The building of Gaddafi stadium has designed by special fusion of Mughal architecture with  blend of modern trends, by famous architect Nayyar Ali Dada.
